World Ranking - Principles

The present world ranking relies primarily on the present national rankings of Sweden and Finland (the latter is unofficial). The order from the national rankings has, in most cases, been kept unchanged.
Secondarily, the ranking is based on results and observations from tournaments, most notably the World Championships (Gothenburg Racketlon World Open). Since this is still a fairly small basis the ranking positions have been decided through discussions and reasoning within the International Racketlon Federation. Below is an account of the main arguments.
1. (1) Mikko Kärkkäinen (FIN)
2. (2) Magnus Eliasson (SWE)
3. (3) Roland Helle (SWE) - remains #3 although he
dropped behind Källberg on the Swedish ranking since he missed a
Stockholm tournament a few weeks ago. This is not a strong enough
reason to let him drop since he reached the final in English Open
last week.
4. (4) Toni Kemppinen (FIN)
5. (5) Ari-Matti Koskinen (FIN)
6. (6) Mats Källberg (SWE)
7. (-) Stefan Adamsson (SWE) - moved forward to #4 on
Swedish ranking after second place in Olligång. Played an even
game (-5) against Eliasson(!) in the final. Lost a very close
game (-4) to Helle in the English Open quarter final.
8. (8) Harri Suutarinen (FIN)
9. (7) Stefan Larsson (SWE) - lost his #4 position on
the Swedish ranking to Adamsson
10. (-) Nicolas Sene (FRA) - semifinalist in English
Open. Beat Swedish #6, Sandberg, in his first ever racketlon
match(!)
Almost in:
David Lazarus (ENG) - quarter finalist in English Open.
Similair to Sene, Lazarus beat Sandberg (+2) in English Open, his
first ever racketlon tournament. Got knocked out against
Källberg (-8, only). Also, played an even game (-5) against
Adamsson in the plate.
Going out from top 10:
(9) Daniel Brodén (SWE)
(10) Mika Hasmats (SWE)
