World Ranking - Principles

The ranking is based on results and observations from tournaments, most notably the World Championships (Gothenburg Racketlon World Open). Since this is still a fairly small basis the ranking positions have been decided through discussions and reasoning within the International Racketlon Federation. Below is an account of the main arguments.

1. (2) Lilian Druve (SWE) - World Champion. Swedish Champion. Winner of Scottish Open.
2. (3) Susanna Lautala-Näykki (FIN) - Finnish Champion 2002. Runner-up in WO where she lost to Lilian -32.
3. (1) Katja Aminoff (FIN) - Never(!) lost a racketlon match. Finnish Champion on some 8 occasions. Winner of WO 2001 where she beat Lilian +16, Marina +10 and Anneli +19 on the only occasion that they have met - but has not played since. Never played Susanna.
4. (5) Katie Buchanan (SCOT) - Runner-up in Scotland. Beat Anneli both in Scotland +6 and in WO +2. But lost to Irene -1 and never made it to the semifinal.
5. (7) Anneli Druve (SWE) - #3 in WO(!) and semifinalist in Scottish Open
6. (6) Hanna Miestamo (FIN) - Beat Judy +6 in WO. But never made it to the semifinals since she lost to both Bex -9 and Lilian -6(!)
7. (4) Marina Finth (SWE) - #3 in WO 2001 where she beat Anneli +40(!) - but has not played since.
8. (-) Judy Murray (SCOT) - #4 in WO, her only competition sofar. Beat Bex +27 but lost to Hanna -6 and Lilian -27.
9. (-) Irene Seifert (GER) - Beat Katie(!) +1 in WO, her only competition sofar. But then lost to both Susanna -20 and Anneli -7.
10. (-) Rebecca Macree (ENG) - Beat Hanna(!) +9 in WO, her only competition sofar. But then lost to both Lilian -12 and Judy -27.
