Racketlon Interest Grows in Student Community!

Phil Reid is the Scottish representative to the International Racketlon Federation. On Saturday 8 May he organised the second annual "Aberdeen University Racketlon Tournament". Read his brief report from the event below.

This event boasted 32 entrants + 2 reserves, including 10 women!! 4 categories of 8 were played on a knock-out basis, with a plate event for first round losers.

Results were as follows ......

Orange Group
Winner - Graham Neill
Runner-up - Mike Sedgewick
Plate Winner - Euan Martin

Green Group
Winner - Stuart Bracher
Runner-up - Keith Barclay
Plate Winner - Stuart Andrew

Blue Group
Winner - Douglas MacMillan
Runner-up - Mark Sanderson
Plate Winner - Bill Fraser

Ladies Group
Winner - Danielle Van der Merwe
Runner-up - Suzanne Morrison
Plate Winner - Stacy Wood

Interestingly, 3 of the 4 categories were won by Aberdeen University Tennis Club members!?!

All participants thoroughly enjoyed the day ..... and were relieved that the sun was shining (outdoor tennis courts are used!)
