Accomodation in Gothenburg
Date: 2011-09-27
_________________
For the 2011 tournament we recommend the following main accomodation alternatives:
The Kviberg Youth Hostel
- the closest youth hostel, about 3km from the sport centre, see homepage.
Grand Hotel Opera
- reasonably priced hotel in the centre of town, see homepage.
The Scandic Hotels
- a chain of reasonably priced hotels, out
of which six are to be found in the Gothenburg area; Three
(Rubinen on the Avenue + Crown and Europe by the Central Station)
very centrally located, one (Opalen) almost as central and a bit
towards the east (the sport centre is in the north east) and the
remaining two in the outskirts (Backadal in the north and
Mölndal in the south). See homepage.
For additional alternatives and information you may want to browse the text below from 2008. Take care to note, however, that some of the information might be outdated!

OFFICIAL TOURNAMENT HOSTEL
We are aware that accommodation and location can be a bit of a challenge in Gothenburg - so we have worked on a solution! As has become tradition during the last few years The Kviberg Youth Hostel, which is only 2 kilometres away from the sport centre and has proved very popular with many participants will yet again be our Official Tournament Hostel. It is located in a nice area close to the nature and still has quick (10 minutes) easy access to the centre of town by tram - and to the sport centre by means of our shuttle service.
Price Examples (2008):
Room with 2 beds: SEK 450 (per room)
Room with 3 beds: SEK 550 (per room)
Room with 4 beds: SEK 690 (per room)
Breakfast: SEK 55 extra (per day)
Sheet: SEK 60 extra (for the whole stay)
(Many other alternatives including hotel standard rooms also
available, see their web page)
Transport
To Sport Centre: In 2008 we will operate a bus shuttle
service in addition to the public transport that is also
available.
To City: Frequent direct public buses or trams can take you to
the centre of Gothenburg in 10 minutes
