Although retired from three consecutive years(!) of World Championship
status (check out our history!) Gothenburg
Open is still an event of exceptional prestige on classic racketlon
ground. In addition it is the last tour event before the World Championships
in Vienna - and therefore the last chance to gain ranking points
that could influence the Vienna seeding.
But you do not have to be an elite player to take part. Anyone
can enter! Beginners are especially welcome this year - through
the introduction of a new Beginners' Class - and will play
next to international elite. And everyone will get a position on
the Racketlon World
Ranking!
Registration is easy. In fact, your name could be on
the entry list
within one single minute! Just click Enter!
and fill in the on-line registration form. And admittance is limited
so register early to avoid disappointment! The first entrants will
be automatically and instantly admitted. And there is no reason
to wait; Entries can easily be updated or cancelled on-line all
the way up until deadline (Sunday, 16 September).
But what is Racketlon? Read all about it at www.racketlon.com!

results in the "open" classes (Men's, Ladies' and Vets')

News. The Entry List has also been updated with all late cancellations
and entries for those of you who would like to click around for
a statistical perspective of Gothenburg Open (90 players from 8
different nations took part). Thanks everyone for another great

2005-11-02 Shuttle Schedule Published.
The final committed shuttle schedule has now been published. See
shuttle text file
to make sure whether you will get picked up or not.
2005-10-30 These are the Shuttle Arrangements.
During the three tournament days we will operate a shuttle service
that will run frequently between the sport center and the Kviberg
official tournament hostel - under the supervision of Taxi General
Anders Persson that many of you know from last year. In true
Gothenburg Open spirit we will also try to satisfy any other transport
needs you might have, such as being picked up at the airport. On
Wednesday night before 21:00 a schedule with firm shuttle commitments
will be published here. Until then we will mainly identify your
needs and record them in a simple text file (see shuttle
text file). Please, let us know your specific shuttle needs
by e-mailing gothenburg_racketlon@hotmail.com
before Wednesday!

Click "Draw/Results" above to access it. Enjoy!
2005-10-19 Don't Forget to Pay!
Payment deadline for Gothenburg Open WAS three days ago, Sunday
16 October, and since we have still not received money from many
of you here is a reminder; This year we take advance payments only.
So, don't forget to pay! Although deadline has passed you still
have a chance to get into the draw if you use PayPal (our credit
card payment system) since these payments reach us within seconds.
Postgiro payments take longer time, about three bank days - meaning
that if you paid before deadline you should be fine even if your
payment is not yet registered in the entry list.
The entry list was updated yesterday and we will update it again
tomorrow, Thursday night. THOSE NOT LISTED AS PAID ON FRIDAY WILL
NOT ENTER THE DRAW! (We do the draw on Sunday morning.)
NOTE, however, that the entry list is still open for new entries
until Friday, midnight. And that players that enter after original
deadline (Sunday 16 Oct) are excepted from the above and will be
allowed to pay by cash on site (although payment by PayPal or Postgiro
is encouraged).
Last but not least: WELCOME to a fantastic tournament. ALL three
open classes in the 2005 Gothenburg Open has attracted the respective
world no:1, meaning:
Magnus Eliasson (back from a couple of months break!)
Lilian Druve
Pär Carleke
The Men's Open, in particular, has attracted all top 5 on the world
ranking.
This is World Championship Class!
2005-10-16 Deadline Extended until Friday!

some space left for you - AND we have now extended the deadline

2005-09-27 Record Interest
A mere 10 days after the launch of this web page we have received
51(!) registrations from 6 countries, which must be a record in
the racketlon world in that short a time. Among the entries are
two world number ones! - the veteran David Greatorex (England),
and, in the Ladie's Open, Lilian Druve (Sweden). A fabulous
triple is expected since Stefan Adamsson (who is widely expected
to reach the Men's number one position at English Open in mid October)
has indicated that he will enter. Interest has never been bigger
- and no wonder! - since INTERNATIONAL RACKETLON IS COMING HOME!
2005-09-27 NO LIMITS for Ladies, Juniors and Veterans!
The admittedly obscure "Target" values previously displayed
together with the entry list have now been removed since we have
been made aware that they have caused confusion. They were meant
more like minimum values but have been interpreted as maximum values...
(ah, forget it!) The simple and important message we want to send
to Ladies, Juniors and Veterans is that we want to welcome as many
of you as possible!!! - at the cost of the lower men's classes.
In practice this means that we will give priority to you in the
wait list and take you in although there might be amateur men ahead
of you! No practical limits! (At least if you register a couple
of days before deadline.)
2005-09-16 Web Page Launch.
We proudly present the homepage of the 2005 Gothenburg Racketlon
Open, this year designed by i2.ca, a Canadian firm with Racketlon
connections (one of them, Richard Thomson, presently world no.17
after just two(!) racketlon tournaments, will be joining the World
Championships - and some people say that he is not crossing
the Atlantic to loose!)
