Date: 2003-06-12

Racketlon.com was today reached by the news that Bulgarian Open will be postponed due to events beyond the control of the organizers.

The new date is not yet known. The organizers are very determined, however, to carry through this event, the historical first racketlon tournament outside Western Europe and probably the most interesting tournament on the tour. Racketlon.com just spoke to Puzant Kassabian, the main organizer of Bulgarian Open and presently busy organizing the Badminton Veteran World Championships in Bulgaria. He welcomes the International Racketlon Community to Bulgarian Open, which will "definitely take place" although a little later than originally planned.Given the below schedule for the remaining 2003 Racketlon Tour it seems reasonable to expect that Mr Kassabian will aim for either the last weekend of August (two weeks after Scotland) or the first weekend of September (two weeks before Vienna).

August: Scottish Open, Monifieth,16-17 August
September: Austrian Open, Vienna, 19-21 September
October: English Open, London, 4-5 October
November: World Championships, Gothenburg, 31 October - 2 November

The new date will be published here as soon as it is known. Probably within the next few days.
