With less than two weeks left until the Racketlon World Championships in Gothenburg (31 Oct - 2 Nov) tension in the international Racketlon community is building up. As the World Championships this year constitutes the peak of the first Racketlon World Tour the international interest surrounding this year's tournament has reached unprecedented levels and many applicants of the lower classes have sadly had to be rejected by tournament management - eventhough the entry has been expanded through a 4 hour earlier start on Friday, at noon. But this is a World Championship and the open classes (Men's Elite, Ladies' Elite and Men's Veteran) must have priority.

The application list has now been frozen at around 110 entrants and only minor modifications are to be expected among the entries until the draw is published in just a few days (the coming Wednesday, 22 Oct, according to present plan).

In order to add to the media hype surrounding the event Racketlon.com today introduces a gallery of player profiles containing presentations of some of the more interesting names from the World of Racketlon. At the moment the gallery contains about a handful of the Men's World Top 20 and the list is scheduled to expand during the remaining days leading up to the event.

In addition, Racketlon.com has asked the Team Captains of the eight national teams taking part in the Team event of the World Championships to write short presentations of their team members.
