Swedish Open in Racketlon in Enskede Raquet center, the 9-11 of January 2004

The 9-11 of January 2004 the world elite in Racketlon is coming to Enskede raquet center in Stockholm to try to win the first out of 12 tournaments making up the IRF (International Racketlon Federation) Racketlon World Tour which is played in ten countries and two continents. Swedish Open starts the Racketlon season which ends with the World championships in Vienna in November 2004.

Some of the players participating in Swedish Open are:

See the Player Profiles Gallery for more details on the stars and profiles of the Racketlon World.

Swedish Open will be held for the 10:th consecutive year and will contain players from all levels from world class to amateurs, men, women, juniors and veterans. It will be a big raquet party!

The IRF World Tour is part of an effort to spread the word of Racketlon both nationally and internationally. The expansion rate today is high considering that two years ago Swedish Open was purely a Swedish affair, today players from 10 countries will participate!

The international Racketlon community is hoping that media will take interest in our sport and help us to create opportunities for all people to become competing athletes by showing what kind of sports are available out there!

Racketlon is played in four different events; table tennis, squash, badminton and tennis in that order. All sets are played to 21 points. The winner is the player that collects the most points after four sets. For example Player A-Player B; TT: 21-12, SQ: 12-21, BT: 21-9, T: 12-21. Total 66-63. Winner player A by +3 points!!

All my best and hoping for a lot of media coverage.
