A couple of days after application deadline it has now been confirmed that this year's Scottish Open will outperform the success of last year by a good margin - both in terms of quantity and quality.

The Men's Category has attracted 43 players out of which no less than 9 are among the present World Top 25. The racketlon world might also get to know really well local threats like Owen Hadden, Callum Munro or Malcolm Watt. Racketlon.com will focus especially on the performance of Belgian Steven Verbruggen (new to racketlon but a world ranked badminton player with 12 years of experience from the King of Rackets tournament). It will give a very interesting indication of the relative standard of the Belgian top players!

The Ladies' tournament has sofar attracted 8 players with World #1 Lilian Druve in the lead - together with another 3(!) players out of the World Top Ten.

In total players from an impressive 7 different nations have applied: Besides Scotland, England, Sweden, Finland, Belgium, Germany and Austria. Watch out for the draw, due to be published here on Racketlon.com by the 11th of August!
