A few notes:

- The draw was performed as follows:

Below is the Gothenburg ranking list as of 2004-02-22. Eleven people (bold in the list) were admitted to the January TOP 8 event. The top 4 of these have been seeded. The positions of number 3-4 and 5-8 respectively have been decided by the drawing of lots with the following two conditions:
1) Each player is guaranteed not to face the same opponent in the first round twice in a row.
2) Identical semifinals in two consecutive TOP 8 events are avoided.

Challenges
Since the main tournament is open to only 8 players there are 3 qualification matches this time. This means that the three worst ranked players have the opportunity to challenge the three players immediately above them for a place in the main tournament. See the Top 8 Regulations for the rules surrounding these challenges.

- See the contact list for numbers and e-mail addresses to people that you may want to challenge.

- The pages are readable with Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 or Netscape 6. We cannot guarantee that other browsers will work. We know for a fact that it will not work at all in Netscape 4! (The blunt advice to you who only get a text list of names instead of a standard graphically laid out match schedule when you click the links above is simply: Download a modern browser!)

- The draws are designed to fit into one A4 page. But you may need to adjust your print margins (File->Page Setup in Microsoft Internet Explorer)

- The matches outlined on the pages above have been numbered and in order to find out when a certain match is going to be played you need to consult the Timeplan.
